SBS Transit Express Service 851e is an express variant of bus service 851 that connects the residential estates of Yishun and Ang Mo Kio to the city area such as Outram and Downtown Core. Unlike its parent service, it travels via an express sector along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 and Central Expressway (CTE), bypassing Marymount subzone (Bishan) and Novena. It shares similarities with the former Chinatown Direct CT8, as both services operated between Ang Mo Kio and Chinatown.
