Tower Transit Bus Service 966 is an inter-town service linking the residential estates of Woodlands, Bukit Panjang, and Marine Parade via Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) and Pan Island Expressway (PIE). By using these expressways, this service provides a faster journey for commuters between the residential estates.

It is one of the two services to loop at the Marine Parade Road roundabout, with the other being Service 15, and is the 2nd longest bus route in Singapore.

Buses departing Woodlands Interchange after 2230 hours terminate at Marine Parade instead of looping back. These trips are previously not indicated until the introduction of the “A” suffix (Short-Trip 966A) in April 2021.
